Design, Redesign and Development Terms & Pricing

Terms

We require a 50% deposit prior to beginning any custom work.  This deposit is non-refundable UNLESS we determine we are unable for any reason to perform the quoted work within the estimated time period.  In other words, if we leave you, you will receive your deposit back; if you change your mind, you forfeit your deposit.  In over ten years of custom work, we have only refunded a deposit one time, and that was due to the client continuing to increase the scope of work to a level we were unwilling to work within.

All ongoing projects are posted online for you to preview and approve along the way, so you have complete knowledge of the work in progress and the ability to request changes.

Final payment is due upon mutually satisfactory completion of the project, just prior to our sending you the work you have previewed.  We will either upload the files for you to your hosting service or zip them and provide you with a download link or send via e-Mail.

Pricing

Pricing on any job is difficult without the ability to preview the full scope of a job.  Additionally, many times clients change or add to their original scope of work.  We are providing general pricing here on our most requested services to give you a rough estimate of our development fees.

Custom Web Design - $1,000

You tell us what you want in a design and we create it for you.  A custom web design is basically a template created especially and exclusively for you, tailored to your needs, and ready for content addition. 

  • Includes 2 - 5 layout pages, depending on your needs
  • Includes your choice of XHTML 1.0 Strict, HTML 4.01 Strict or HTML 4.01 Transitional document types
  • Designs created are fully validated and CSS controlled by an external style sheet
  • Includes Flash components or headers, if desired
  • Includes javascript components, if desired
  • Includes standard, drop-down, pop-out or Flash menu systems
  • Includes licensing fees of royalty-free images from Big Stock Photo required for your design (if you do not have images available)
  • Formatted as standard HTML web or specifically for Expression Web (your choice)

Custom Template Modifications - $200

Custom template modifications are the quickest and most affordable way to have an exclusive design without having a custom web built.  The customized design is not resold - it is tailored to your needs and ready for content addition.  For this option, you begin with a template that has the general layout you want; colors, background images, fonts, etc. are modified per your request.

  • Requires licensing of an existing template from ExpressionTemplates.com or FrontPageTemplates.com
  • Includes color and images changes according to your specifications
  • Includes modifications of existing Flash components as required
  • Includes minor layout changes, according to your needs

Website Design Conversions - $100/page

If you have an existing website that is not up-to-date with current web standards, but you are happy with the look and feel of it, we can take your design, strip out the tables, remove the archaic and/or "bad" code, and provide you with a fully validated page.

  • Includes your choice of XHTML 1.0 Strict, HTML 4.01 Strict or HTML 4.01 Transitional document types
  • Converted pages will be fully validated and CSS controlled by an external style sheet
  • Includes maintaining your existing file names, links and meta tag information

Placing copy on a page - $50/page

  • Includes stripping out archaic or bad code to provide a clean, standards-compliant page
  • Includes reformatting and layout to maintain a consistent look throughout the website
  • Includes formatting and placement of a maximum of 3 images/page, provided to us electronically
  • Includes linking page to menu system being used on website
  • Includes CSS changes or additions as required to accommodate the page content
  • Assumes page content requires hitting the Page-Down button no more than twice in 1024x768 resolution
  • Assumes copy is already in some type of electronic format, either from an existing website or sent via e-Mail in text or Word format

Placing copy on a page from faxed documents - $75/page

  • Includes providing a clean, validated, standards-compliant page
  • Includes reformatting and layout to maintain a consistent look throughout the website
  • Includes formatting and placement of a maximum of 3 images/page, provided to us electronically
  • Includes linking page to menu system being used on website
  • Includes CSS changes or additions as required to accommodate the page content
  • Assumes page content requires hitting the Page-Down button no more than twice in 1024x768 resolution

Image Scanning to Graphics Format or Copy Scanning to PDF Format - $10/image or page

  • Scanned from photos or copy sent to us via mail, FedEx, UPS or other delivery service
  • Includes image and/or copy touch-up, resizing and optimization
  • Includes delivering to you a high-resolution copy of the image(s) via e-mail or online download
  • Includes physical resizing and filesize optimization of images for web publishing
  • Assumes photo or copy provided is no larger than 8-1/2" x 14"
  • Assumes photo or copy provided is in relatively good shape
